Stage Hypnosis is an act performed by a person or a magician and is usually done for the entertainment of people. It is based on many psychological factors on the participant. Usually the participant goes into a trance when the hypnosis is in progress. It is more a less an act of entertainment for many but it involves many psychological factors such as amnesia, illusions and hallucinations.
Hypnosis originated in the early 18th century and was mainly performed by many magicians. It is believed to be somewhat similar to that of telepathy and magnetism. However there has been a lot of speculation about it because it was made to look like people are going into a hypnotic trance.
It is believed that it is based on many psychological effects such as pressure from peers, amnesia and alteration of the mood. It has been criticized because people believe that selected people are always chosen for the act. Most of the acts of the magicians are based on trickery. It is definitely a way of controlling someone’s mind and in combination of various psychological factors such as selection of the partner, manipulation and magic on stage.
Hypnosis and Stage Hypnosis are different from each other as the latter is staged and it could be based on various false tricks. There are few strategies where the hypnotist turns down his microphone and tells the participant what to do. Sometimes his participant will refuse to do what he says and it is more or less based on hand tricks.
