Step 1: The very first thing you will need to do is settle comfortably on a chair.

Step 2: Then, gaze downward in a relaxed and comfortable manner, without really focussing on any particular thing, softening your gaze gradually.

Step 3: While you continue with this process, you will find a calmer rhythm in your breathing.

Step 4: Do not forcefully focus your eyes in one particular direction. It is ok even if you drift your gaze a little. Close your eyes when they get heavy, and in case you find yourself slipping away from this relaxed state, return to the earlier relaxed gaze.
