Thus, it is necessary that you train your mind for the ultimate concentration either by praying, or chanting a mantra, or even doing pranayama and visualization.

Harnessing your mind:

The mind is your tool towards reaching the state of enlightenment and pure bliss, and hence it must be harnessed. While different approaches promote different techniques of doing this, the basic essentials are: dharana (concentration), followed by dhyana (meditation), and finally, Samadhi (enlightenment).
